About
Veidekke is a leading Scandinavian construction and property development company headquartered in Oslo. Established in 1936, the company has approximately 6,300 employees across Scandinavia. Listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange since 1986, Veidekke reported a turnover of NOK 21 billion in 2013.
Solution
Veidekke implemented eye-share Workflow and eye-share Capture with the following modules: Invoice, General Ledger, Archive, Report, Reminder and Travel.
Leading the way in automation
Veidekke has partnered with Eye-share since 2014, steadily evolving its invoice processes with a strong focus on efficiency and automation. When the contractor division joined the platform, they quickly took initiative—developing automated workflows even before AI was on the radar.
“We created a setup where each invoice enters the system with supplier and project details, and flows directly into the approval process with suggested coding,” says Ole Martin Landsem, system and accounting controller at Veidekke. “That way, our contractor teams spend less time on manual handling and more time on quality control.”
Ready for the next step
Today, Veidekke operates two instances of eye-share Workflow—one for the contractor division, running with high automation, and another for Veidekke Industry, where invoices are still manually pre-coded at the initial stage.
“This gives us a great opportunity,” Ole Martin continues. “By introducing AI to the industry side through a focused pilot, we can explore the benefits in a controlled environment and demonstrate value before scaling it more broadly.”
Next stop: smarter invoice management
With strong internal interest and clear potential for gains, Veidekke is planning to roll out AI-driven invoice handling in the industry division by summer 2025.
“We’re excited about what’s ahead. There’s strong momentum behind this initiative, and with Eye-share’s expertise and support, we’re confident this pilot will be a stepping stone toward smarter, faster workflows across the board.”
