What's new in eye-share Workflow 15.8

eye-share Workflow 15.8 includes several improvements and bug fixes, with one important update for anyone working with supplier catalogs.

Better control of Peppol BIS catalogs

Supplier catalogs change all the time. New items are added, prices are updated, and items that are no longer available should not remain active in the purchasing flow.

In eye-share Workflow 15.8, we have improved how Peppol BIS catalogs are handled in the catalog module. This makes it easier to keep the Item registry and Webshop updated with the supplier’s latest catalog.

Why this matters

When a supplier sends an updated catalog, it is important that the system understands what has actually changed.

Previously, items that were no longer included in the supplier’s catalog could remain active in the Item registry. This meant they could also be available in the Webshop, even if they were no longer part of the supplier’s current catalog.

With the improvement in 15.8, you can handle catalog updates more accurately. This gives you better control during import, a cleaner Item registry and a more up-to-date Webshop for users.

How it works

When a Peppol BIS catalog is imported, eye-share Workflow can now use the catalog action code to understand how the catalog should be handled.

For example, the catalog may add new items, update existing items, replace a previous catalog or mark items for deletion.

This means that:

  • New items can be added to the catalog
  • Existing items can be updated, for example when prices change
  • Items missing from a replacement catalog can be marked for blocking
  • Items marked for deletion can be marked for blocking

Items marked for blocking are blocked in the Item registry when the catalog is activated. This prevents them from staying available for ordering in the Webshop.

If a previously blocked item appears again in a new catalog, it can be reactivated.

Better overview during import

The import summary has also been improved, making it easier to see what happens to the catalog before it is activated.

You get a clearer overview of items that have been read, added, ignored, updated or marked as no longer valid according to the catalog. This makes it easier for administrators and superusers to check the catalog import before the changes update the Item registry.

What does this mean for users?

For users ordering through the Webshop, this means a more accurate purchasing experience.

When the Item registry and Webshop are better aligned with the supplier’s latest catalog, there is less risk of users ordering outdated items.

The result is a cleaner catalog flow, more accurate items and better control throughout the purchasing process.
